The
Swan
This position stretches the abdominal muscles out, as well as strengthening
the upper back extensors which support the spine. Many people work
in positions of the upper body being slumped over and rounded. Using
this exercise correctly can help to retrain the body to a correct
open alignment. The abdominal's must never just “hang”,
but remain engaged to support the lower back. Start small, and over
time you will achieve a larger extension, but not immediately please!

Spine
Corrector
The spine corrector elongates the spine and opens up the front of
the chest. Abdominal crunches done in this position of back extension
gives the body a larger range of motion to build muscle strenght while
also increasing the flexibility of the spine itself.
